Telemedicine for Burns Centres
Deploying Telemarque Store & Forward telemedicine solutions
for a Burns Centre enables the connection of remote A&E departments, so
that immediate advice and guidance can be offered to the A&E department
before a patient with a serious burn is committed to a lengthy journey
to the Burns Centre. This meets a significant objective of the National
Burn Care Review.
Telemarque includes all the data sets defined in the British Isles Burns
Injury Database, ( BIBID).
Telemarque Store & Forward also includes burns care management
functionality, including surgery, inpatient episodes & psychological care.
A specialist Telemarque module for burns outpatient clinics will be available
in Q4 2002.
