Often referred to as the ‘silent killer,’ high blood pressure does not often display any clear symptoms. It is has been suggested that 30% of people in the UK suffer with high blood pressure and they are unaware of it. The effects of high blood pressure are an increased risk of a stroke or heart attack, if not treated. It is important that all adults have their blood pressure measured at least once every five years.
