Telemarque is a multi-speciality store and forward telemedicine software solution. It is designed to enable the quick and easy creation of electronic telemedicine referrals that include digital images and patient information. Developed using modern database software it provides a secure system that allows healthcare professionals to collect multimedia, medical & demographic data and communicate it to other clinicians. Telemarque software is in use today in Burns Centres for tele-burns, and Dermatology departments across the UK for teledermatology, although it can easily be applied to many other specialities.

Telemarques ease of use includes simple user navigation. For example, from the patient data input screen to image selection is just two clicks of the mouse.

Telemarques security includes full audit trails. For example, no data can be altered after it has been sent, only authorised recipients can add additional information to a message under secure controls. Data is only available to authorised users and it is not accessible outside the Telemarque software. Full encryption of all transmitted data is standard. The Telemarque software deals with all aspects of asynchronous telemedicine communication.

Telemarques simplicity and flexibility allows it to be implemented on almost any PC or Laptop, to capture images from any digital camera and a wide range of multimedia devices and to use any e-mail system that is available including Exchange and GroupWise over the NHSnet or the Internet. The telemedicine transport is achieved via standard e-mail links.
